Hel­lo PIH singers

As you know PIH will be singing at the hand­ing in of the Fos­sil Fuel Non-Pro­lif­er­a­tion Treaty peti­tion (hope­ful­ly) to the First Min­is­ter at the Scot­tish Par­lia­ment this Thurs­day, 14 Novem­ber. The event will start at 1p.m. and run until 2.15. Ian will be the song leaderoo. He is ask­ing that peo­ple arrive at 12.45 lat­est so we have time to warm up and run through all the songs. If you aren’t famil­iar with any of them, please lis­ten to them if you can. 

The list of songs we will be singing will fol­low in due course.

Mes­sage from the organ­is­ers of this event:
• As the cli­mate emer­gency rages, and world lead­ers head to COP29 cli­mate talks, gov­ern­ments can’t ignore its root cause: fos­sil fuels
• There’s an urgent need for a glob­al exit plan from fos­sil fuels – a fos­sil fuel treaty
• This would give peo­ple hope and is what some of the most cli­mate-vul­ner­a­ble coun­tries are call­ing for
• Scot­land must back this call, and say yes to a fos­sil fuel treaty, and we’re call­ing on the FM to back the call for a treaty.
