Hel­lo to an excit­ing 2013, with the start of Protest in Har­mo­ny in Glas­gow!

After the resound­ing suc­cess of two well attend­ed and great­ly enjoy­able tri­al ses­sions Lar­ry and I have booked the next 3 reg­u­lar month­ly slots at the cen­tral­ly locat­ed and com­mu­ni­ty ori­en­tat­ed Gar­nethill Mul­ti­cul­tur­al Cen­tre, 21 Rose Street, Gar­nethill, Glas­gow G3 6RE.

And to join in here’s all the in’s and out­’s you need to know…

Dates and times

The three Sun­day dates are: 

  • 13th Jan­u­ary
  • 17th Feb­ru­ary
  • 17th March

The ses­sions will start at 3pm and fin­ish at 5.30pm so you have enough time to catch the last tubes from Cow­cad­dens just before 6pm. Please arrive before 3 so you can sign in, pay and gen­er­al­ly grab a cup­pa and set­tle in.

Directions/travel

Underground:

The cen­tre is 5 min­utes walk from Cow­cad­dens under­ground, and on the same Street as the Glas­gow Film The­atre. Please see the map for direc­tions.

Buses:

Com­ing from the south­side: First bus­es 66, 20 stop out­side the Art School’s Hal­dane build­ing on West Gra­ham St, around the cor­ner from Rose St.

Com­ing from the Wes­t­end, the same bus­es stop at the last stop on West Gra­ham St on the oppo­site side of the road. Oth­er First bus­es that stop near­by are the 61, 75, 40

Costs

To cov­er all our costs for venue hire, pay­ing song lead­ers time and trav­el expens­es [£105] we are adopt­ing a sim­i­lar pay­ment approach to PIH in Edin­burgh — £6 and £4 depend­ing on whether you are waged or unwaged. This may get reduced if we can top 25⁄30 peo­ple each session.
